Bookstore Greeters Program
August 24 - August 28, 2009
Shifts run in 2 hour increments from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please contact Bruce Appleby at 549-6436 by July 30 if you are
interested in helping out.
The SIU Bookstore Greeters
Program is an activity that our Chapter does during the first
week of Fall and Spring Semesters to raise money for our
scholarship program. Members volunteer to work two-hour shifts
at the Student Center Bookstore checking in back packs and other
items shoppers carry as they enter the store. Up to five
volunteers cover each two-hour shift throughout each day of the
first week of school. This is a fun and often invigorating
activity as hundreds of students rush to purchase their books
during the first days of classes. In the end, it is quite a
rewarding experience to know that you have assisted the
university in helping our students settle in for another
semester of learning. For our service, our Chapter receives
$1,200 a year from the Bookstore for our scholarship program.

EAA 4-Person Golf Scramble

Cost per person (please bring exact change):
$35.00 - green fees & cart
$6.00 - lunch
$5.00 - fee to cover prizes and mulligans
Tee time is 8:30 a.m. Please arrive by 8:00 a.m. to
register and pay fees. Teams will be comprised of four
players. You may enter as an individual and be placed on a
team or enter as a member of a team. Special events will
be held on selected holes. After golf, enjoy lunch and
fellowship at the Club House where awards will be presented.
